Captivity by Deborah Noyes giveaway ends 7/15 CLOSED.

WINNER IS SHARON

The Fox Sisters made a fortune hosting séances to communicate with the dead in the mid eighteen hundreds. They became so influential that the Spiritualist Movement found its beginnings as a result of their success. This is one story we are reading about. The other is about Clara Gill, a brokenhearted woman living the life of a recluse and suffering from the loss of the love of her life many years earlier. She is a sad and forlorn character. That is, until Maggie Fox joins the household as a servant, and tries to save her from the repression and male domination she is victim to. In this case it is her father who is “saving” her and the family name by keeping her out of society. Captivity is a psychological tale of how people can create their own prisons, by giving memories and people the power to submerge them. Maggie Fox attempts to pull Clara out of the dark past and into the light. The stories of these characters are hypnotically interesting. We enter another world and it is a very different and mesmerizing experience. Highly Recommend. 1 copy is available for giveaway.
