Women, Food and God by Geneen Roth (audiobook)- givewaway ends Aug. 1st-CLOSED

WINNER IS; MOZI ESME

The book market is flooded with helpful guides to lose weight. I think I have read most of them. The books generally have an emphasis on eating plans targeting either lower fat or lower carbohydrates. We conclude that following high protein diets provide the fastest results for losing weight, but we can't be on these diets too long because doing so can lead to illness.
This book is not about being on a diet. Geneen Roth offers a more realistic approach. Step by step we get in touch with the reasons “why” we overeat and with this very knowledge we master the ability to lose weight and keep it off. We learn that it is not enough to want to lose weight. We must also be aware that the reason we keep gaining weight is because we are so loyal to unhealthy foods we trust to make us feel better. To fill those emotional empty holes that never seemed to get full. Instead we feel worse, and suffer more guilt and lower self-esteem.
Listening to Ms. Roth’s reassuring voice while sharing her experiences and what she has learned left me with an extremely positive attitude. One that makes me believe that it can be done. We can be the women we’ve dreamt so long of being.
